Our Engagement

Chad proposed on the temple grounds of the Seattle Temple, where we would be sealed just 4 months later for all eternity. He played it off quite well. As we were driving in the car he was acting extremely quiet and I asked him if everything was ok. He replied with, "Yes, I'm fine, just have a lot on my mind." I then asked him if there was anything I could do and he said no. He then took the exit for the temple and said, "where am I going?!" As if he was lost. He asked if I was hungry and I said, that I wasn't quite yet but would probably be soon. The timing was perfect and he immediately took a right and pulled into the temple parking lot and asked if I wanted to walk around before we go get something to eat. We sat down on a bench after walking around the temple and began to watch the sun set. He then said that there was actually ONE thing I could do to make him feel better and got down on one knee. I looked over at his face and never looked down so I didn't see the ring in his hand! I kept asking him what it was that I could do and he simply looked down at the ring and I was SHOCKED!! It was beautiful! After putting a beautiful ring on my finger, we celebrated at Black Angus with steak!
